20 July 2021, Abu Dhabi: Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children in Abu Dhabi welcomed 12 newborns on Arafah day including a pair of twins and has welcomed 6 newborns during the first few hours of Eid Al Adha. With Arafah day and Eid newborns, the total number of newborns delivered at Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi has reached 24,399 since the opening of the hospital on October 2015 of which 13,202 babies were Emiratis. <\/p>\n
Dr. Mohaymen Abdelghany, CEO of Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children, part of United Eastern Medical Services (UEMedical) said, “Our celebrations at Danat Al Emarat are doubled as we welcome our newborns today. Including the babies born at the hospital on Arafa Day and in the morning of first day of Eid Al Adhaa, a total of 24,399 babies have been born at Danat Al Emarat Hospital since our first baby born on 28 October 2015, of which 13,202 were Emiratis. Amongst the total number of births, we had 12,692 boys and 11,707 girls. We are indeed proud of our team of over 200 obstetricians, pediatricians, neonatologists, midwives and nurses who provide unparalleled care to many of Abu Dhabi\u2019s newborns. We expect to welcome another 6 babies by end of today.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cAs we continue to combat the pandemic, and under the guidance and directions of the health authorities in UAE and the Department of Health Abu Dhabi, we would like to ensure all patients especially pregnant mothers that the utmost precautionary measures are applied at the hospital ensuring that best antenatal and childbirth care is provided, and the care is uninterrupted,\u201d Dr. Abdelghany added. <\/p>\n
Danat Al Emarat Hospital has welcomed its first newborn for Emirati family at 12:53 am of first day of Eid Al Adhaa. The father, Omar Matar Al Niyadi, said \u201cWe are truly happy to welcome our baby boy today during the first hour of Eid Al Adha. We have named him Abdul Aziz, and he weighed 2.97 KG. Thanks to Allah, the baby and my wife are in good health. His sister, Shamsa who is 15 months old and was also born at Danat Al Emarat Hospital, was waiting for him. My wife was due on 30 July, but with Allah\u2019s willing, baby Abdul Aziz is celebrating Eid with us today. The occasion is definitely doubled for us. From here, I would like to thank Danat Al Emarat Hospital for the quality care they always provide to my family.\u201d<\/p>\n
The second baby was born at Danat Al Emarat Hospital at 1:43 am for Syrian family of Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Hussein. The father said, \u201cThanks to Allah for his blessings. We have named our newborn Adam. He is our third child. He weighed 3.05 KG. The baby and his mother are in good health which tripled our joy ad celebrations as we also celebrate the first day of Eid Al Adhaa. We were expecting him in 5 days, but with Allah\u2019s will he has joined our Eid celebrations today morning. His older sister Sanaa, 5 years old and his brother Ahmed, 4 years old, have both been waiting for him. From here, I would like to thank Danat Al Emarat team for the care they have been providing my wife and child, especially during these times of COVID-19 pandemic. We have witnessed very strict safety measures throughout our visits to the hospital and today during the birth of my child, which has put us in peace of mind, and we appreciate their efforts in providing consciously high-quality care to all patients.\u201d<\/p>\n
Moreover, Danat Al Emarat Hospital has welcomed its third newborn, Hamda Saeed Al Suwaidi, for an Emirati family at 4:06 am of first day of Eid Al Adhaa. <\/p>\n
Danat Al Emarat Hospital has welcomed its fourth newborn for Emirati family at 5:15 am of first day of Eid Al Adha. Her father, Mr. Amer said, \u201cWe have named her Shaikha. With Allah\u2019s blessings, we welcomed our baby on first day of Eid. The baby and my wife are in good health thanks to Allah. Her brothers and sisters are so excited to meet her. We would like to thank Danat Al Emarat for the care my wife and baby received especially during these times ensuring continuity of care to all pregnant women and newborns and beyond.
