United Eastern Medical (UEMedical), Abu Dhabi\u2019s leading Healthcare Investment and Development Company, held their first HealthPlus Family Day to celebrate the recent opening of their new Family Health Center in Al Raha Beach on Saturday, 28 January 2012.<\/p>\n
The family health center, located in Al Bandar, an island development set around a world class marina, saw hundreds of residents and their families pour in to attend a day filled with frivolity and excited anticipation. Free health checkups, games and activities, bouncy castles and magician shows were amongst the merriment of activities available for children and families alike. At the same time, Health Plus physicians and medical team mingled with the guests offering their expert advice on key matters concerning general and dental patient care.<\/p>\n
The event inauguration was attended by Mr. Talal Al Dhiyebi, Director of Planning & Infrastructure, Aldar Properties; Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa Al Hammadi, Managing Director & CEO of UEMedical; Mr. Majd Abu Zant, CEO of Health Plus; and members of UEMedical top management. Following the inauguration, members from Al Dar Properties toured the Health Center and looked at the different medical services that are provided to their residents. It is worth mentioning that Al Bandar Residential Community is one of Al Raha Beach projects by Al Dar Development.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday\u2019s overwhelming presence of Abu Dhabi\u2019s residential community proves that our commitment to providing continuous, comprehensive and personal care to our patients from newborn checkups to treatments of fevers, falls and day-to-day health concerns, has been firmly embraced.\u201d stated, Mr. Majd Abu Zant.<\/p>\n
Mr. Abu Zant further stated, \u201cWe are very excited to be progressing so quickly in line with our vision to drastically improve the medical services on offer in the region. Since our soft opening in November 2011, we have already seen 600 patients, which clearly indicates that there is a strong public demand for our services within this district.\u201d<\/p>\n
Medical services offered in the center include Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Gynecology and Dentistry in addition to supporting Weqaya, the national screening program of the Health Authority \u2013 Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n
The Family Health Center, part of the Health Plus network, is strongly affiliated with UEMedical\u2019s flagship project in Abu Dhabi, Danat Al Emarat Women and Children\u2019s Hospital, which is due for completion by end of 2012 and is affiliated with other Health Plus Centers including the Fertility & Genetics Center and the Women\u2019s Health Center.<\/p>\n
