Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi, has welcomed its first newborn for the family of Mr. Ahmed Jassem Al Yamahi, Emirati, at 1:11 am on 1 January 2021. The father said, “Here we are today celebrating both the birth of our child and the new year. We have named our newborn Salama and she weighed 3.5 Kg. Baby Salama and my wife are in good health thanks to Allah. Waiting for her is her brother Jassem who was born also at Danat Al Emarat 3 years ago. My wife due date was on 9 January but with Allah’s willing we welcomed our daughter to our lives today doubling our celebrations. I would like to thank Danat Al Emarat team for the care they have been providing my wife and child, especially during these days of pandemic. The hospital has applied very strict precautionary measures throughout our visits to the hospital and today during the birth of my child, and we appreciate their efforts in providing continuously high-quality care to all patients.”
The second baby girl was born at Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi at 3:59 am and weighed 3.65 KG for a Filipino family, Jay and Leizl. The father said, “We could not contain our excitement today with the birth of our first born during the first hours of 2021 and after 8 long years of waiting to get pregnant! We almost lost our hope after many years of trying both naturally and with medical intervention. However, in May 2020, my wife got pregnant naturally! It was a surprise for us as it’s something that we did not expect especially during the time of the pandemic. We were worried during her pregnancy, and followed up at Danat Al Emarat from early days due to her high-risk pregnancy status and here we are today, starting 2021 with our newborn between our arms. We have named her meaning “God’s Gift”. We encourage all couples who are going through the same season – “please don’t lose hope.””
At 7:44 am, family of Mr. Mohammed Faisal Al Hashimi, Emirati, welcomed their newborn girl who weighted 2.92 KG at Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi. With Allah’s blessings, we welcomed our baby on this very special occasion which the world celebrates, and we now double celebrate this day. The baby and mother are in good health thanks to Allah. We would like to thank Danat Al Emarat for the care my wife and baby received especially during these times ensuring continuity of care to all pregnant women and newborns and beyond and implementing all precautionary measures. We are indeed happy to meet our baby today, wishing happiness and good health for everyone.”
