2 December 2018, UAE: Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children in Abu Dhabi welcomed a total of 8 newborns (5 boys and 3 girls) during the first few hours of the 47th UAE National Day.

The first baby was born at 2:17 am, and weighed 2.7 Kg and is the first child for the family. Her father, Al Ren Bucoy, 31 years old from Philippines and an Ambulance Attendant, said, “the baby is our first child and we are overwhelmed with her birth today. The baby and her mother are in good health, and we have named her Alexa Venice. We are extremely proud to have her join us during the first hours of UAE National Day. Today is a special day for the country I have served and to my family for our healthy, charming baby girl. She was due in ten days but because of some medical reasons, she has joined us today. It is awesome with loads of joy and smiles. From me and the family, we wish everyone a Happy National Day!”

The first Emirati newborn was delivered at 2:44 after midnight. His father, Hilal Mohammed Al Zuyoudi said, “Having our baby boy at this time of the year is very special to our hearts. We have named our new bundle of joy Abdullah, and he has an older sister who has been waiting for him. We thank Allah that the baby and his mom are in good health. He was due to join us today 2nd December, and this is what happened. We would like to congratulate our UAE leaders, government and the people of UAE on this very special day, the 47th UAE National Day.”

Amongst Danat Al Emarat’s newborns on UAE National Day was baby Zayed who was born at 8:28 am. His father, Hamad Abdrabbo Al Humairi said, “We named our baby Zayed, following the Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father and the principal driving force behind the formation of the United Arab Emirates. Waiting for baby Zayed are his brothers Suhail and Mansour. He was due after two days, but with Allah’s will he has joined us today and so our celebrations have been doubled. From here, we would like to congratulate UAE leaders, government and the people of UAE on this very special day.”

Moreover, an Emirati family were blessed with their first baby boy at 9:04 am on National Day. Mr. Ali Jasem Al Raeisy said, “Thanks to Allah our joy has been doubled today with the arrival of our first newborn Jasem. We are overwhelmed that he joined us on the 47th National Day and we wish our leadership, government and people of UAE continuous happiness and safety.”

A pair of twins were also born at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children at 11 am for an Emirati family on UAE National Day.. Their father Mohamed Abdullah Al Jaber said, “We were blessed today with our 2 boys after 7 years of waiting. We thank Allah for the blessings and that their mother and the babies ae in good health. We are extremely happy to have them join us on UAE National Day. On this special day that is very dear to our hearts, we would like to congratulate UAE leaders, government and the people of UAE. The birth of our twins on this special night was a surprise for us, and now the memorable occasion is tripled for us. We are very thankful for this blessing.”

Mariano Gonzalez, CEO of Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children, part of United Eastern Medical Services (UEMedical) said, “Including our 8 babies born at the hospital during the early hours of UAE National Day, a total of 10150 babies have been born at our hospital since our first baby born on 28 October 2015. Amongst the total number of births, we had 5250 boys and 4900 girls. All these precious bundles of joy were managed by our 75 medical team members of obstetricians, pediatricians and neonatologists. We expect to welcome another 5 babies by end of today. From here, we would like to congratulate the UAE’s leadership, government and people on the 47th UAE National Day.”

The hospital distributed flowers and gifts for all patients and children who are spending the UAE National Day at the hospital.
