23 May 2018, UAE: Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa Al Hammadi, CEO and Managing Director of United Eastern Medical Services (UEMedical) in Abu Dhabi praised the recent decisions of The UAE Cabinet to adopt a new system of entry visas for investors and professional talents providing them with a long-term visa for up to 10 years. The new system will attract experts with competencies in different scientific specialties and will encourage students in the country to enroll in scientific and medical fields, which will also open new horizons to improve medical and scientific services. These decisions show the great vision of our leaders to the future of the UAE.
Mr. Al Shorafa also said that the healthcare industry will be one of the first sectors to benefit from these decisions through retaining physicians who may be granted visa for upto 10 years providing them with more social and economic stability; and will attract other international medical experts from around the world. Mr. Al Shorafa also clarified that UEMedical has more than 160 doctors from different specialties from different parts of the world, and they were all content with these positive decisions, which will definitely improve healthcare services provided.
Mr. Al Shorafa also added that the Federal Law on Medical Assistance in Reproduction, which was announced by The UAE Cabinet will also open new horizons to physicians and to people who suffer from infertility through new scientific techniques and accessing the right treatments effectively. Mr. Al Shorafa also said that with this new law, couples wouldn’t need to travel abroad looking for international medical centers for fertility treatments or for eggs preservation. With these new decisions, fertility services will expand significantly during the next phase, including opening new departments or centers and attracting the right talent; thus, UEMedical has recently expanded its services with the opening of HealthPlus Fertility Center in Dubai, besides its HealthPlus Fertility Center in Abu Dhabi which was launched in 2010.
