Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children in Abu Dhabi Celebrates Mother’s Day and distributes 1000 Roses to patients and pregnant women

Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children celebrated Mother’s Day today, which is considered the first Mother’s Day since the hospital opened its doors on 28 October 2016.

Few activities were organized for women, focusing on raising health awareness and emphasizing on the importance of regular check-ups for the mother and her baby which helps with early detection of diseases.

The activities included offering more than 1,000 roses for all patients on 21 March which marks Mother’s Day, and arranging for a raffle draw that included pregnant women who visit the hospital. A pregnant woman in her eighth month won an airfare ticket to bring her mother to attend the birth of her child.

Cheow Seng Lee, CEO of Danat Al Emarat Hospital, “We have witnessed the birth of five babies on this special day, 21 March, at Danat Al Emarat Hospital. It gives us pride to see our number of babies delivered in our hospital raise to over 355 babies within only 4 months.”

Eman Ali Al Shorafa, Chief Protocol Officer at Danat Al Emarat Hospital said, “All our team members participated in our activities today. Members from the management visited all our inpatients who gave birth during the past 24 hours. We distributed over 1,000 roses to our staff and our patients.”

Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children Hospital is a 150-bed facility that caters for women and children; including Intensive Care Unit and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It is owned by United Eastern Medical Services (UEMedical), and is managed by Parkway Health from Singapore.

Farah Al Alami, Chief Communications Officer said, “Our team discussed internally what we can offer as a raffle prize that would mean a lot to the winner on such a beautiful day, as we celebrate mothers. We believe offering an airfare ticket for the winner’s mother to be with her daughter during pregnancy and delivery is very heartwarming. The draw was held in the presence of members from different departments and the winner was a woman currently pregnant in her eighth month.”
